DRIVE Dundee is a small, resourceful team that has been designing and building cars for Formula Student since 2008.

DRIVE prides itself on being a self-run team and all manufacturing is done in-house by students. With a small budget and limited manpower, the team has learnt to reach its full potential by utilising low cost upgrades and innovative designs to stay competitive. To keep up with changing technologies, DRIVE switched from carburettor fuel management to EFI in 2016, and this year from 13 inch to 10 inch wheels. With 2017 being the start of a new Class 2 entry, DRIVE has focused on lightweight suspension design suited to a compact chassis and improved car reliability with modular designs to aid repair/fault finding. Since the team is comprised of eight core members, everyone has to share the work load which in turn gives each team member an understanding of the whole process including budget management, engineering design and team organisation.
