I’m surprised McAvoy made the initial six for Team USA. I figured it would be Hellebuyck joining the five obvious choices, considering he just became only the fourth US born player to win the Hart Trophy (at least I think it was 4th, could be 3rd).

Anyway, I’d say other than the initial four, the Avs have two guaranteed participants: Devon Toews for Team Canada, and Artturi Lehkonen for Team Finland; then two likely participants: Brock Nelson for Team USA, and Mackenzie Blackwood for Team Canada; and finally one long shot who could definitely play his way into a spot this season: Ivan Ivan for Team Czechia.
