The Team SURTES entry into the Class 2 competition has been extensively designed and manufactured solely by third year students with the aim of successfully competing at the 2018 Class 1 competition.

The team consists of 30 passionate and ambitious students from Mechanical, Automotive and Aerospace engineering disciplines. This will be their first ever Class 2 vehicle which has been produced with an electric powertrain and spaceframe chassis. Their aim is to further improve on their previous electric vehicle through design optimisation and a clear focus on improving the ease of manufacture.
