In reply to Jeremy. The olympics aren’t till February, so I’m sure if he is playing NHL hockey until February there would be no reason he couldn’t play in the olympics. He would have just as much a chance of getting hurt as Nate or Cale. I don’t think he is disrespecting the organization at all, if he is than so is every other player that is going from every team.

But this is just dumb & a bit disrespectful to the organization that hung with you for 3 years while you rehabbed. And he collected 21 million from, for doing nothing but that.

I imagine he’ll also be Team Sweden’s captain for the tournament, as well as being their heart and soul – just as he is for the Avs. It will be hard rooting against the Swedes for sure – so I just may root for them instead. 😉

You know, where does loyalty lie, team or country? He just spent almost 3 years rehabbing, played a few shifts in the last playoff. Knee seems to be okay from reading. But the country comes along, cries, says we need you, please. Works every time. Avs spend millions, country spends very little. Gabe, I hope your knee holds up.
