This is the first year in which Warwick Racing will be entering the competition with an electric vehicle.

They have had a full redesign of the car from the ground up, completed by a team of 20 fourth year engineering students. The car features a Yasa motor that powers the rear wheels through a chain driven limited slip differential. The front suspension features an innovative pull rod system that sits alongside the steering rack under the drivers legs. The system allows for the use of a single bolt to contain both shocks in the middle of the chassis and makes use of the empty space efficiently. The rear features an innovative tie rod system that is integrated into the wishbone for added rigidity and simplicity, with just one bolt holding the bottom wishbone, tie rod and push rod, saving cost and complexity. The team has started manufacture and aims to compete in Class 1 in 2018 as long as testing goes well.
