The electric division of UWE’s Formula Student team was conceived to design and submit a class 2 entry going on to build a Class 1 car for 2017/2018. The team consists of 60 students, with 6 members concentrating on research and development into a reduced complexity and reduced cost, high performance electric power train.
We aim to create a highly competitive vehicle using a direct drive system while keeping cost and weight to a minimum.
We are currently acquiring and finalising details with major sponsors and technical advisers and would like to say thank you for all of the support we have received so far, especially from, Environmental iNets South West, Melasta, and Bosch Rexroth.
