Team Profile:
BMM10 comprises the level 5 Masters Automotive and Motorsport Engineering students, all from various disciplines and cultures, providing a diverse range in areas of expertise, this has generated a variety of ideas during design conception. The team was split into four groups: suspension, powertrain, chassis and driver controls.
Two impact attenuators were designed and manufactured. Testing was facilitated by Cranfield Impact Centre, providing valuable validation of the simulated data obtained prior to the test. Smith Welding Services, constructed the steel space frame chassis, suspension components were manufactured in house excluding the uprights which were outsourced.
