Team profile
This year’s team comprises of students from a variety of engineering disciplines across all years of undergraduate study. What we all share is that we are completely new to the Formula Student scene. When the team was formed last October, many of us had absolutely no knowledge of racing car design. Our car is a sidewinder, meaning the engine is packaged to one side of the driver, rather than behind. This unorthodox layout has challenged us to think outside the box with our designs, and helped rapidly improve our understanding of what is needed to build a successful racing car.
