Team Profile

Swansea University Race Engineering is currently developing its first electric race car. The main priorities of our design are safety and reliability. To achieve this we have a unique aluminium honeycomb monocoque coupled with a steel tubular rear.  A racing car simulator was developed in-house to optimise the design and driver training.

We are the first electric team in Wales, comprising of students from all disciplines, years and nationalities. We’re split into five sub-teams; powertrain, chassis, electronics, suspension and statics.

Thanks go to SWIEET – South Wales Institute of Engineers Educational Trust – for their continuing support.
