Team Profile

–The FS Team from the Centre for Rapid and Sustainable Product Development, Leiria Polytechnic Institute, Portugal, participating for the 2nd time with a  new car called FIPL02, is composed by engineering and design students working together to optimize design and materials to build a novel Formula Student car. One of the major project goals is to obtain the fittest sustainable design using compressed natural gas as an alternative fuel. The FIPL02 body is also incorporating a non-conventional composite material comprising natural cork, to enhance the properties of the car. The FIPL02 performance will then be significantly improved and its sustainability greatly enhanced.
