Team Profile

The Aston Racing Class 2 team is composed of 1st and 2nd year students, studying a range of courses including design and engineering. The team is working on a development of 2011’s successful electric concept vehicle, but with a significantly improved drivetrain and chassis that together will take Aston in a greener direction for formula student. Whilst looking to achieve a competitive overall weight the team is working towards creating an electric powertrain to match or better any internal combustion system used in the competition, both for sustainability and performance on the race track.
