Yep this is why it seems clear to me that they’re not done. I can see another late signing like Evan Rodrigues or Tomas Tatar. Let’s just hope it ends up more like Rodrigues than Tatar this time around.

If Bardakov comes in & is a legit bottom 6 forward great. And if they had one 4th line spot up for grabs. I’d be all about him, Ivan, Steinberg, etc battling in camp for it. The issue is they have 3 up for grabs. With no sure things in the system.

Sound logic. Your defense of CMac boils down to “no GM bats .1000” (I’d settle for .300 at this point). And he’s still better than the two literal worst GM’s the team had since moving to Denver lol. It’s clearly a low bar for you.

The only thing that has made Macfarland’s tenure semi – tenable. Is he INHERITED a roster that had prime Mackinnon, Rantanen & the emerging best defenseman in the world. And he & I’ll include Bednar in this have guided them since 22 to exactly 1 playoff series win.

It will be seen how much the Avs play the AHL guys or if they get another 4th liner or two. I wouldn’t mind getting Brett Leason for the 4th line, but I would really like it if the team did not play months with 2 4th lines again.

Quick note for everyone: I’m all for debates, but please do not name call other commenters. I’d like to get back to CHN’s comments section being more welcoming. Disagree with others, but without name-calling.

I’ve seen Ivan & Prishchepov in live AHL game action. Between the two, Prishchepov’s game better fits the NHL due to his size. He plays big on the ice. Will he be a scoring dynamo? I think not. Ivan still lacks physicality and can get rubbed out on the ice easily. The Avs already have too many players with that trait. I’m hoping for a deal down the line that strengthens the Avs bottom six. I know – hope is not a strategy. If the Avs maintain their cap space, perhaps they will be active during the trade deadline in moving Necas (if there is no long term contract) and obtaining some bottom six relief.

Calling Cmac incompetent just makes you look clueless & miserable. Yeah let’s bring back guys like Gigure and Sherman! No GM bats 1000 but Cmac job is to put the Avs in a position to win and he’s done that, the gaslighting you try to pull here is next level delusional. Fans like you that let the actual players that play the game off the hook more than a GM are just so bizarre… so bizarre, so bizarre! (every time I look around, you’re complaining… do do do).

Ivan is still young. Given a steady role on the 4th line and he would probably do fine. An unknown is Bardakov. He is 24, 6’2″ and 210 lbs. He could be a good addition to the 4th line. He is listed at a center, but who knows if he really plays that position.
