I doubt Varly would get that much from Avs. I might be wrong, but that would still be more than Grubauer. Something like 2×2.5 I can maybe see.

Have a feeling he’d have to consider better offers from other G needy teams (CBJ, CAL, EDM, or KHL teams).

While they should be giving younger guys more opportunity on the 4th line (like Greer), wouldn’t be shocked if they gave Bourque a 1/2 yr deal for like 900k. Bednar trusts him as a vet and on PK.

Just like Varly, if Wilson is willing to take a bit of a cut to stay, could be a solid vet bottom 6 guy that could jump onto PP if it needs a shakeup. He could get some other decent offers, but Avs should let him walk if wanting more than 2.5-3.

Yeah, giving up on goalies too soon can be dangerous. They usually keep learning. Question is: will the physical reflexes keep up with the mental side?

Varly is the one player I’d be interested in talking too, maybe just out of appreciation for his efforts on some bad Avs rosters and the comeback story that it would be if he regained the #1, for whatever reason.
