Jared Bednar, the coach of the Avalanche for the past three years who was entering the final year of his contract for the 2019-20 season, has agreed to a two-year extension with the team that will take him through the 2021-22 season, NHL sources told Colorado Hockey Now.

The team has not formally announced the extension, but that will happen at some point soon.
