If they want to take a flyer on him or give him a PTO, sure. But anything other than that would be foolish. And you’re definitely not moving Coyle & slotting Kuznetsov in at 3C.

As for the Peterka trade. Buffalo is retarded. You traded a legit top line winger at 23. And got back a fringe NHL prospect in Doan. And Kesselring who is not unlike Connor Clifton who they signed in free agency a few years ago. A bottom pair defenseman, who they are going to overplay in a top 4 role. Kevyn Adams is a putz.

If the Avs move Coyle, I think Kuznetsov would be a fascinating target as our 3C if the price is right. I can’t imagine what he would get on the open market, given his very public off-ice issues – and I honestly don’t know if the Avs would want another mercurial Russian in the locker room – but the talent has always been there for him.
