It’s best for those players to stay in Russia until the Avs are ready to give them a spot on the team. The last thing any prospect should want is to get buried in the AHL; everyone knows that the Eagles are terrible at preparing prospects, preferring to play AHL vets over the real-deal prospects and the Avs are terrible at graduating said prospects, partially because the Eagles won’t give them prime playing time. And the AHL is an awful developmental league anyhow so any prospect – Avs prospects in particular – are best served by staying as far away from the AHL as possible.
