Carey Price is a much better goalie than his numbers suggest. The Canadiens D is absolutely terrible. NHL players just voted him best goalie in the league for the third year running.

And there’s no way he’d go to Colorado without Montreal retaining at least 30 percent and maybe up to 50 depending on the return. Montreal would also take back Colorado’s 3m goalie in the deal as well.

Colorado would be crazy to simply dismiss this.

But if they’d do a deal that would split the cap hit in half and have Habs retain 5M per. That would start to be pretty interesting. Habs would look for defenders though si what can we give them? At this point not too much. Maybe the Avs can’t sign Big Z to what they want for and decides to move him.
