Why the singling out of Girard? He’s been fine. Such an odd thing to take away from a 5 – 1 road victory, in which their defense as a whole was excellent.

If Juice keeps playing like this and gets more.and more starts, he’s going to put himself in the Calder conversation. Speaking of unconventional Calder candidates: 26-year-old Sam Malinski is playing so darn well. His give and go to assist on Mittelstadt’s goal was absolutely gorgeous! I think he’ll put one in the back of the net himself some time in the next two games, and will pile up more assists as he gets more comfortable and more opportunities. Also: All. Hail. Cale.
