Great idea and Buffalo must be in the trade market given the direction of their season.

It’s unfortunate because I thought Polin showed some promise last year as a guy they could potentially call up & maybe over time became a regular 4th line option.

The best ability is availability, so if you’re always hurt & on the fringes anyhow..that doesn’t bode well for your prospects.

Or they should trade for Krebs and vesey.

Only reason I say Lekhonen is because drouin is more of a playmaker and Lekhonen is more of a forechecker. Bednar stated he didn’t want to put colton back to center of 3rd line.

It’s the 4th line that’s lacking depth. And avs lacking center depth to. Krebs from Buffalo and vesey would be good for 4th line.

Agree with you on Smith, but who would trade a decent 3C or even 4C for Smith and Oly?

Prishchepov would play on the 4th line and get limited minutes. He was sent down to develop his game by getting meaningful minutes. Last night he scored a hat trick for the Eagles! His time with the Avs will come although it may not be very much this year

It will be interesting to see who moves down when Drouin returns. It could also be Colton to the wing on the 3rd line. Frost would definitely add offense to the bottom 6, but I would like to see someone who can also kill penalties.

I agree Smith takes unnecessary penalties. Id rather just have prishchepov play the whole season.

But I don’t see drouin playing in bottom 6. I see Lekhonen going down to 3rd line.
I think frost would be good 3rd line center
