In reply to NecasDrury. Crosby has been quite clear about his desire to remain & retire in Pittsburgh. People need to stop with this fantasy. That also has no basis to reality. Even if he wanted to be traded I have a real hard time believing Mr "aggregate" Chris McFarland would want to give up assets to acquire a 38 year old.

MacKinnon will talk to Crosby at the Four Nations Cup. We will see how the chemistry between MacKinnon and Crosby works at the Four Nations Cup when they play on the same line. Playing with MacKinnon will give Crosby a second wind. It is Crosby who decides if he will leave Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh GM will fulfill Crosby’s wish if he wants to leave. The Pittsburgh GM can’t be too greedy in return for Crosby. Crosby has only a few years left. Crosby has been too important a player for the NHL to end his career this way in Pittsburgh. Pierre Lacroix was able to get Raymond Bourque from Boston. I expect the same from MacFarland in Crosby’s case. MacFarland owes at least that to his stallion MacKinnon. The possibility of Mittelstadt going to Pittsburgh is very real.
