We didn’t want to get rid of him in the first place.

4×4 for Roslovic is a crazy waste of money. He was scratched on a competitive team during their playoff run. That’s all you need to know about his value.

We’ll see… Kovalenko just wasn’t sturdy enough to play how he played in the KHL. I also don’t think Kovy processed the game fast enough, a skill that’s particularly needed by undersized guys. With Russians it’s hard to say why NJ moved Bardakov. He’s now 24 and maybe they got frustrated that they couldn’t get him to come over

They can’t offer sheet anyone. They would need to have their own picks to do that.

Luostarinin is signed for 2 more years at 3. Zito isn’t trading that guy until he has literally no other choice. But with the cap increasing they’ll probably have the ability to extend him when the time comes.

Erod would be good in a 3rd line role. But he’s not a center. And that’s really what they need. Unless they’ve convinced themselves Drury can be a 3C, which he’s not. This organization seemingly never learns from their mistakes. Stop trying to put guys in roles they’re not best suited for.

Sounds like Kovakenko all over again lol. But I’m all for anyone internally actually securing a permanent spot in the bottom 6.

I question if the guy even has the chops to play in the NHL. For no other reason than he was acquired for MacDermid. I can’t imagine NJ would’ve traded any asset they had ANY hope would be an NHL caliber player for that guy. But stranger things have happened.

You’re forgetting Bardakov. He was a solid middle 6 in the KHL and has center/wing versatility. He’s got good size with a mean streak and supposedly a high motor. He also wore an A. Cmac called him out specifically in a presser and the guy isn’t coming over to play for the Eagles. I’m sure he has been assured that he’ll get a long look. He’ll at least start the season in the bottom 6

I don't think it's implausible at all that he wanted A) to go back to the north east. Played college hockey in Boston & of course played for the Bruins. And B) that Mackinnon thing probably didn't sit well with him. He's not Ivan Ivan. Dude is a vet whose been around & is well regarded player in the league. With all that said if he didn't request a trade. Then it's another bone headed short sighted trade by CMac. Your bottom 6 is rudderless now & devoid of any offense. So for all the talk that the Mikko trade would make them less top heavy. Here they are...extremely top heavy.]]> In reply to Ken.

I’m glad you’re finally acknowledging the greatness of one Mikko Rantanen 😉.

Right…Ehlers was never coming here. And Crosby as of now is a pipe dream. People need to stop with that.
