ASU Racing Team was founded in 2010 with the vision to apply racing science into reality.
The team consists of 3 technical teams and a management team, one of which is Formula Student. The Formula Student team is divided into 6 sub-teams. The team designed the vehicle with approaches of reducing weight and augmenting performances through simple designs. Their main objective this year is completing the dynamic event with a high score that will secure a good position. The team have reduced the weight and the vehicle is 14% lighter than that of the previous year. The cockpit is more ergonomic and the body design has been streamlined to decrease the drag force. The design has also taken into consideration the fuel economy and CO2 emissions. New parts have been introduced including an active aerodynamic kit and U-shaped anti-roll bar that helped to raise the team’s expectations of gaining a high position and a near podium finish.
