SHU Racing ’17 is a relatively young Formula Student team of 40 students from foundation year through to final year, managed by seven Masters students.

The road to Formula Student has been the toughest yet for the team due to university renovations and decreased facilities, although they have strived to make this their most successful year. With a large focus on the electronics and suspension design, the team have been working hard since October; utilising their innovation and creativity to push the boundaries. SHU Racing are proud to say that the vast majority of the car is designed and manufactured in-house at Sheffield Hallam University by the students, investing in them as young professionals. The team is running a KTM 500exc engine with a student designed and built drivetrain, driver environment and chassis beautifully presented in a full carbon fibre shell. SHU Racing would like to take this opportunity to thank all of their sponsors and university staff for being supportive throughout the whole process.
