Team SHARK Racing are competing in Formula Student for the second consecutive time, proving the fact that the sheer passion and dedication are the driving forces behind a successful competitor.
In 2016, Team SHARK became the first team to represent Sri Lanka in Formula Student, marking the origin of a golden era in motorsport in the island nation. Three awards at Formula Student 2016, which glorified the first time entry, also showcased the perseverance and the commitment within the team. Despite the financial deficiencies and lack of advanced manufacturing techniques, the team is continually accelerating towards greatness by gaining experience every passing day. With Diesel and Motor Engineering PLC (DIMO), Sri Lanka as the sole sponsor, the focus is to advance in every engineering aspect related to racing. Under the simple and unique objective of ‘Pursue the impossible dream, challenge the reality to create the ultimate Formula Student car’, each and every team member is committing to their fullest to achieve the great honour of victory.
