FormulaDIT is delighted to be making their return to the premier Formula Student competition in which they first competed in 2010.
As the sole representative from the Republic of Ireland, the team of 14 dedicated final year undergraduate students from the School of Mechanical and Design Engineering at the Dublin Institute of Technology aim to achieve their best finish yet through Engineering innovation, focused teamwork and the support of their generous sponsors. 2016 heralds the beginning of a new and exciting chapter in the history of FormulaDIT with the introduction of Yamaha single cylinder engine and ten inch wheels along with further integration of carbon fibre components. These changes and many more have all contributed towards the 2016 challenger achieving the best ever power to weight ratio for the team.
