Both would have been promotions so hard to believe he would have turned them down. In the past he was an assistant with the Preds so he was well qualified for either role. Yes, Hakstol has been an NHL HC but it’s not like he was stellar with the Kraken. Maybe the new head coach of the Eagles will be good but his credentials aren’t better than Hinote’s. A head scratcher for me unless I’m missing something

Just to see my favorite athlete of all time – Foppa – out there and to cheer for him was worth it even though he looked pretty slowed-down. I was pretty much expecting how he looked. It was great that they let both Liles and Barrie wear 4 and funny as hell to see them out there at the same time. Also great to see 2/3 of the ’22 4th line playing together. Pretty cool that Troy Terry, Scott Mayfield and Davis showed up for DU.Hopefully someone has a screenshot of Rycroft and Liles on the ‘Coldplay Cam.’ Danny Hinote was having as much fun as the people watching, particularly when he scored – and the big hug he shared with his great friend Peter afterwards was heartwarming. Landy making an appearance was very cool. Just an unexpectedly fun Sunday evening. .

My exact thoughts when I read that. Denver was a great college hockey town before I was born an I’m 58!

Both things have been true for decades!
