The TUfast Racing Team from Munich (Bavaria) consists of 75 team members who design and build two race cars each season (E + C) as one team.
This year’s TUfast electric race car, the eb016, has been created with the focus on agility, aerodynamics and lightweight design.
The eb016 is equipped with four weight optimized permanently excited synchronous machines, each one driving each wheel. This motors are controlled by self-developed inverters, weighing 3,4kg altogether. The car is powered by a 600V lithium polymer battery, leading to low currents and low losses. All functions of the car are controlled by a central vehicle control unit, executing an advanced driving dynamics control algorithm. These functions can be conveniently watched, logged and changed via a WIFI telemetry system.
Even if it is often really stressful and intense we always try to keep the fun. To do so at the competition we always bring a lot of a Bavarian speciality with us. So always feel free to visit us at the campsite.
