The 2016 ISAT Formula Team, entirely renewed with 31 new passionate students, all in their first year of the engineering curriculum.
They represent the only French public engineering school specialized in Automotive! After a year of hard work, we participate to the FS and FSG competitions with our Internal Combustion Engine single seat car, while the French FSE is being developed within our premises. Since 2003, ISAT team have succeeded one another and we hope we can do better than our predecessors. We reach the TOP 20 in both competitions. This year, our priority is the reliability of the engine, which is developed on a bench, and the making of a new wiring harness including an advanced data acquisition system. We also focused on lowering the centre of gravity and reducing the weight. We would also like, with the other French teams, to organise a Formula Student competition in France to promote this project. To this end, a “Formula Student Press Day” took place on the Nevers Magny-Cours Circuit to communicate and initiate the organization of this competition.
