The team supporting the UPR-08 at Formula Student UK comes from a wide range of engineering and technology disciplines. We recruit students from all levels of undergraduate and postgraduate study.
Our UPR-08 aims to build upon the car of last season by aiming to improve critical aspects of our manufacturing process; such as our chassis tubes being laser notched. A featured new component is our custom hand-made carbon kevlar steering wheel, aiding in our pursuit of effective weight reduction. We are powered by the trustworthy Yamaha YZF-R6, delivering fantastic performance and reliability.
We would not be in the position to attend Formula Student UK without the support from our sponsors and partners, including; Pall Aerospace, Fischer Connectors, BAE Systems, Novatech and the University of Portsmouth itself.
