Team Profile:
Team HARE enters Formula Student this year with HARE-14, pursuing an even greater success story than our Top UK winning entry last year!
Central to the development of HARE-14 is a multi-level project goal plan outlining objectives from a management level down to a component level.
The plan has been meticulously followed, resulting in the completion of many component designs which feed into this year’s main objective; to score more points in static and dynamic events than ever before.
Scoping the project in this way has minimised technical risk, which will grant us the reliability that cemented our success in competition last year. To name a few of many new features: driver ergonomics has been improved, drivetrain has been optimised and the fuel tank has been re-designed, consequent to the outstanding fuel efficiency which gained us first place combustion fuel economy in Spain last year.
A significant amount of track testing has taken place, which has furthered our understanding of differential and suspension setup as well as providing our drivers with time in the car, which will help us realise another main objective, to ensure competition readiness!
