Team Profile:

We are KA-RaceIng e.V. – Formula Student Team of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Since 2006 we build racecars for the Formula Student competition.
From 2010 on we stand for “One team, two cars” designing, manufacturing and competing with a combustion car and an electric one.
Our new electric car – the KIT14e – comes with a completely self-developed four-wheel-drive drivetrain beginning from the motors over the power electronics to the battery stack.
We stick to our approved concept with four seperate motors mounted underneath the CFRP monocoque and a 10″-wheels based suspension. The aerodynamical package got extended to side-wings and was improved once more.
Our team consist of about 60 students and is organized like a small business unit. The so-called assembly including the executive board and all subteam leaders takes care of the overall team.
We would like to thank all our sponsors and supporters for the enormous help throughout the whole season.
