Team profile
“HorsePower Hannover e.V. was founded in 2007 by a group of 10 engineering sutdents. Our first events were Silverstone and Hockenheim in 2009 with the RacePony09, which was a cumbustion car. Learning from 2009 meant that we produced a winning combustion car at Barcelona, the RH10.
After this success HorsePower sought new paths and began constructing an electric race car. The eH11 was born. Step by step we learned about building an electric racecar and so we build the most succesfull electric racecar of HorsePower, the eH13. After a good 7th place in FSG we reached the 2nd place in Barcelona.
By retaining the know-how and establishing new structures of organisation, our team of more than 40 interdisciplinary students decided to implement a new concept, which means to develop an all wheel driven racecar with a single piece CFRP Monocoque. Our vision of HorsePower to be a sustainable network with our partners, a place of educate our team members in addition to their studies, and a place to have much fun in an innovative project.”
