Team Profile:

The 2014 SU racing car is a novel design intended to provide high performance at a seriously low cost. In order to achieve this, the vehicle is designed to use standard “off the shelf” parts wherever possible, integrated with specially designed interchangeable components in key areas, such as the suspension. Not only does this reduce manufacturing costs, it allows a smaller spare parts inventory.

The base vehicle offers the customer the chance to adapt the vehicle to their individual needs as well as to their own personal racing budget.

Our team is made up of a range first, second and third year students. All our team members have automotive or motorsport interests. Additionally, most of the third year students are designing components for next year’s car as a final year project.
