Team Profile

As a team of about 25 students with very a small budget BlueStreamline from Transilvania University of Brasov is the only Formula Student team in Romania. BS14 is our sixth car that we have designed, built and raced at Silverstone and other events over the years. BS14 is the further development of the BS13 with a design philosophy of simplicity reliability and performance. The main development directions were: improvement of the dynamic behavior of the car, mass reduction and optimization of the parts, fine tuning of the engine management system and intensive testing to troubleshoot any malfunctions of the car.
We are convinced that this year’s car is the most competitive car that we have build so far, and we have great expectations from this event. We would like to thank everyone involved in this great project of ours.

Additional information
We are a small team of about 25 members with a very small budget, the only FS team in Romania to race at Silverstone.
This year is our sixth Silverstone event, but with a big series of bad luck and lack of preparation for the event we never managed to finish the endurance. Maybe this year is the lucky one.
Last year we still did more laps in the endurance than Chalmers, Delft, Munich all together
Our best overall position was 58 in 2011 but we have always managed to be in the first half of the ranking board.
