Chicago has done little to rebuild and bring in support for Bedard. All the names listed above, Kadri, Robertson, Necas, and Andersson, should have been targeted by Chicago. They have $18M in cap space and lots of 1st and 2nd round draft picks to trade for talent to help them win now. They have no problem throwing big pucks at so-so players to keep them, but if Bedard says he wants to win now and bolts, they are back to square one.
