Team Profile

Unicorn Race Engineering comes from Aalborg University.
The team consist of members from a variety of studies, and ranges from early bachelor to master students.

Members of the team are motivated by the chance to put their academic theory to the test track. The philosophy of the team is to always get the most of the members skills and time, keep an open mind towards new ideas and have a productive and fun environment to work in.

Building G5 was only made possible by the team members dedicated spare time to the project. The work was carried out with a flat structure giving a substantial natural diffusion of knowledge. New members to the team are this way gradually introduced to the aspects of race engineering, ensuring that Unicorn retains the knowledge and skills obtained from now building 5 cars.

The main objective of G5 has been to reduce weight. We have among other things upgraded dampers and differential, and thereby reduced the weight by ~10kg compared to G4.
