Team Profile
High-Octane Motorsports is the FS team of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. Our this year’s team consists of 48 students which developed and built our fifth racecar, the FAUmax Epsilon. Our goal was to improve our innovations from last year to reduce the weight further and increase the reliability. This year we have an even more compact racecar. For a further improvement of the drivability of our V2 engine, we developed a variable intake system with mechanical actuated runners. Also the reduction of rotating masses was achieved by customizing the transmission and coupling. With a self-designed diff housing, we could save even more weight. A big step was the development of an whole aerodynamic package. With an increase of simulation hours we designed an effective and reliable car.
We thank all sponsors for the great support to make our improvements happen. We are looking forward to all events for nice and competitive racing.
