Team Profile

Forze is the Hydrogen Racing Team from the Delft University of Technology. Since 2007 Forze combines motorsport with clean technology. After three years of gaining experience with karts we built our first Formula Student car last year.

This year we built our second FS car, the Forze V. The vehicle is powered by an 18 kW hydrogen fuel cell, combined with an energy buffer consisting of ultra-capacitors. This buffer allows using up to 60kW to accelerate. Brake energy can also be recovered and stored in the energy buffer. The only emission of our car is pure water.
Compared to the Forze IV we increased the power from the fuel cell by 50%, and reduced the weight of the car with 10%. This was accomplished by smart design and packaging and selecting the most suitable components for the fuel cell.
The only emission of our car is pure water.

Our car is the only hydrogen powered FS car in the world.
