Team Profile

HorsePower Hannover e.V. was founded in 2007 by a group of 10 engineering students. In the years up to 2009 our first racecar was build, so we were ready to race in the FSUK Silverstone and FSG Hockenheim in the year 2009 with the “RacePony09” ,a combustion car. During this season the team gained so much know-how that they were able to build the winner combustion car of Barcelona 2010 the “RH10”, called the RaceHorse.

After this success HorsePower went for new challanges and began constructing an electric race car, the project “eH11” was born. The result of the 2011 season was a substantial progress in the static events, our first steps towards electrified mobility and an extremly fast accelerating and agile race car.

By working with this Know How and establishing new structures of organization, the HorsePower team, with now more than 60 interdisciplinary students, is looking forward to a great season 2012. A season with a vision:

HorsePower as a union that engineers future orientated race technologies and educates its members hands on in addition to the theoretical studies. But also a sustainable network with our partners with the studends future in mind.
-The eH12 is our second elecrical Racecar.

-the team exists since 2007

-currently our team has more than 50 members out of 8 different study courses

-winner of FSS 2010 in Barcelona (Spin) with second combustion car RH10 (RaceHorse 10)
