Team Profile
We are a group of over 35 students from across various disciplines at IIT Bombay. This is our first attempt at designing an all-electric powertrain. Our team has participated in FSAE Michigan ’08 and Formula Student UK ’09 with IC engine powered entries. Post that we moved to participating in Baja SAE India, where, after a couple of successful seasons, we decided to switch back to Formula Student and revive the Formula Student culture on our campus. This year, our target for the event is to be able to complete endurance, something we had failed in our previous 2 attempts. We have aligned all our designs, with the goal of making the car reliable and cost effective.
It would not have been possible for the team to undertake this challenge without the support of our institute and sponsors, namely NRB Bearings and Agni motors among others.
We are sure that Formula Student 2012 is going to be a great learning experience for the team and are looking forward to it!
-Restarting Formula Student after a hiatus of 2 years
