There’s been seasons that, like it or not, he has carried the team. In return? He’s found himself with injury on injury. Now is that team’s fault? Yes and no. Should they pay the price, again.. hard to make that call and tbh, it’s only one that they can do themselves.

I, personally, would love to see him finish his career with the Avs. I’ve found that when he’s had an aggressive back up, or a backup that’s been able to hold their own, his own game has improved. Which, ultimately for us, is a win win situation.

People have this concept of goalies, the older they become, the slower, the weaker they get. Now, goalies like Binnington support this argument, yet there’s a lot of support showing that older goalies with experience, who also know the team playing before them, can in turn do wonders.

Don’t write him out yet imo.

He came in to the ice twice from bench – how could he do that? During those limited minutes – he was great. And remember, those two games when he had opportunity to play – Avs were on their slump.
