Founded in 2007 in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, the Aixtreme Racing Team is going to participate this year with their 4th car. The team consists of 35 students from various departments including Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Economic Sciences and Design. Similar to modern companies, the team is structured into several sections (Research & Development and Finances & Organisation), each with sub-sections e.g. suspension, engine, structure and electrics.

The goal is to build up a competitive race car by passing through every stage of development of modern engineering by means of CAD and FEA. Focused on reliability (a wise race-engineer once said: “If you want to finish first, you have to finish first”. With our detailed improvements, we want to surpass our previous season results.
