In 2011, ADFA Racing is proud to present WS-11.  WS-11 is the 6th FSAE car from ADFA Racing and features a semi-stressed engine, steel space frame chassis, beam axle suspension, a naturally aspirated inline four cylinder engine, on 10 inch aluminium wheels.  WS-11 was designed using a top-down systems engineering approach, striving for superior dynamic performance, reliability, simplicity, maintainability, and manufacturability.  In order to produce a car representing these qualities, ADFA Racing have conducted a period of extensive testing including measurement of the CG, compliance testing, tensional stiffness from hub to hub, and extensive dynamic testing using MoTec data logging of tyre temperatures, suspension position, accelerometers, gyroscopes, and various other sensors.   The 2011 Formula Student competition is the first overseas event for ADFA Racing (based in Canberra, Australia), but we hope to make an appearance at future overseas events.
