Liverpool

The University of Liverpool Motorsport team began life in 2005 and is now entering its sixth year in the Formula Student competition.  The team comprises of 20 final year and penultimate year mechanical MEng engineering students.

The most significant change for ULM_006 sees the introduction of a rear plate for the tubular steel space frame. An aluminium honeycomb floor gives strength and improves stiffness while keeping weight to a minimum.

With an Aprilia SXV 550 Van Den Bosch edition engine providing the power, the drive is delivered through a Quaife ATB Limited Slip Differential. The car also utilises an electronic gear shifter and a back-torque limiter, while bespoke inlet and exhausts enhance power output.

Finally, the team wishes to thank all of our sponsors this year, without them the construction of the car would not have been possible.
