The DMU FaStER team has a broad spectrum of students and researchers from disciplines including electronics, mechanical and mechatronics.

It is their first attempt at an electric race car and they will be using off the shelf components predominantly from UK suppliers. The electric motor of the car has high power density and high torque, staying extremely light and producing low noise. They have a matrix management structure where the 15 team members work across the Batteries, Electrical, Engine/Gear, Suspension/Break, Chassis Design and Project Management sub-teams.
