University Racing Eindhoven (URE) was founded in 2003, when a couple of enthusiastic students wanted to gain more practical experience and discussed their plan with the Technical University of Eindhoven. This plan resulted in the Formula Student team of Eindhoven, URE.
URE stands for technological innovation, teamwork and a passion for engineering. By competing in the Formula Student competition, we try to push ourselves and our cars to new limits! Using a combination of the engineering skills of all the team members, we are able to build a high-tech revolutionary electric Formula Student race car every year.
After competing in the combustion class of the Formula Student competition with five cars, the team decided to build an electric race car in 2010. This concept of a rear-wheel driven race car has been improved until now.
The URE11 will be URE’s second four-wheel driven race car which will feature a completely self-developed powertrain and fully adjustable suspension. Its concept is based on the concept of the URE10 and we improved components where possible. One at the biggest changes is the cooled accumulator and in wheel assembly.
