National Instruments have assisted in the development of the LJMU cars since 2010, however for the 2nd year in a row, The LJMU Racing Team has been awarded the top tier of NI sponsorship. This has allowed for more team members to become familiar with LabView and NI Hardware. Using the CompactDAQ and CompactRIO for data acquisition systems, components have been designed and validated ready for LJMU 16. The myRIO is also used as a major control unit in the pneumatic shifting system.
The team would like to thank all of the sponsors including, ABC, Aintree Racecourse, Avon Tyres, Cammell Laird, Fuchs, Hightown Construction, Loctite, Low Carbon Innovation Hub, National Instruments, NGK, Oriel Studios, Ricardo, RS Components, Sanctuary Students, SMC, Spontex Workwear, Stokes Clarkson, Textreme, Trelleborg, Varley Red Top and Zircotec for their continued support.
