Team Profile
DMU Mk. III is De Montfort University’s 3rd entry into Formula Student. 25 students from across the University have been involved in the team this year with the aim of building on our knowledge base to produce a lighter and more reliable car.
We are sticking with the tubular steel spaceframe and 4 cylinder Honda engine combination for its proven reliability and ease of manufacture. Suspension and chassis designs have been optimised for performance and weight reduction. Special emphasis has been placed this year on the electrical system and engine management which was last year’s bugbear. Were possible, British manufacturers and suppliers of components and materials have been used to support British industry on DMU Mk. III.
DMURacing would like to extend a big thank you to all our sponsors, in particular our long term partners Nylacast, Cummins and Graham Goode Racing. Without all your support we could not participate in the Formula Student event.
