Team Profile:

YTU Racing Formula Student Team consists of 25 team members from four different engineering departments which represents Yildiz Technical University.

Our team was founded in 2011 by members of the Machine Technologies Student Club (YTU Mak-tek). After participating in Formula Student 2014 competition with first car, the team has started to design completely new car, YTR02 to compete in Formula Student 2015 Event.

The main design philosophy of the YTR02 was, building a durable car which will allow the team to spend more test time with the car and collect more data to improve performance of the car. Due to spending more engineering hours to optimize systems and reduction of the weight of the every single part, YTR02 was designed %30 lighter than its predecessor.

We would like to thank our sponsors who helps us to develop our team further. Especially, Ozti (Öztiryakiler), Iscar, Hexagon Studio, Bosch, Karbosan, Dalgakiran Kompresör and Koçel.
