Team Profile:
It is the fourth car for UNI Maribor Grand Prix Engineering. We are entering FS UK, FSAEI and FSG. With some simulations and our previous experiences we have come up with a lightweight full aero car. A lot of work was done on suspension, aerodynamics, chassis and powertrain. The suspension aims to make a car responsive and balanced in corners. Front and rear wing provide almost three times more downforce than in our previous year and the aero-balance is in tune with suspension balance. To cope with all the aero-drag our powertrain features a 550 cc big bore kit, variable plenum and an unique quick-shift system with a variable pitch worm gear and a simple DC motor. Everything is connected to our first carbon-epoxy monocoque which reduces the part count of our car and packages everything tightly together. The car is equipped with a sophisticated DA system that helps us tune our car.
While studying to become engineers, we like to believe we are racers!
